We loved our stay at Crackpot Cottage. The location is idillic with amazing panoramic views from the fire pit area. The cabin was immaculately clean and very stylishly decorated. Also surprisingly warm in the comfy bed at night. Hospitality was great - we were made to feel very welcome. Food was amazing! We will be recommending this place to our friends.

Just back from a wonderful two nights at Crackpot Cottage. What a place! The location was a perfect with beautiful walks on your doorstep. While the cabin was exactly as described - actually even better! Out hosts Emanuela and Karen were just as wonderful as the cabin. They struck the perfect balance of being friendly and helpful but to also leaving us to enjoy a peaceful trip. When they say they know the best walk in Swaledale - believe them! The breakfast was a perfect start to the day and if you are lucky maybe one of the hens will lay you an egg at your feet while you are drinking your coffee! Talking of food, you should definitely take up the offer of pizza and wine! I couldn’t recommend Crackpot Cottage highly enough - in fact my friends have already booked and we’ve only been back a few hours!

Staying at Crackpot Cottage was absolutely fantastic! Emma and Karen are the most lovely hospitable people you could wish to stay with. The optional food menu was amazing and the pizza and platter were so tasty. The location is lovely and remote, yet some of the best parts of the Dales are on your doorstep. The cabin had everything you would want and the fire pit and inside fire stove were lovely cosy touches. We 100% will be returning for another visit!

Lovely little cottage in am excellent position to explore the surrounding area. Great access to loads of interesting and beautiful locations. House was clean and tidy. Kitchen well equipped. Had a lovely breakfast on the terrace. Easy directions. Onestop shop well stocked. (The Bridge Street Cottage - Brough)

Absolutely lovely hosts and really nice setting. Emanuela’s pizza is to die for. We had an absolutely fantastic stay at your cabin. Will definitely come back.

A beautiful place to relax and unwind! Karen and Ema were incredible hosts providing great hospitality and kindness. The cabin was beautiful with lots of lovely little touches. The breakfast was amazing - where Ema made the best homemade bread and eggs sourced from their own hens . And in the evening, the homemade pizza was delicious. The hosts provided fantastics tips of what to do in the local area which included walks, hikes and beauty spots. The campfire was the best touch where we enjoyed 2 lovely evenings looking out of the spectacular views of the valley Thank you Ema & Karen for the best stay - it was just what we needed!

A much needed get away from City life. Our hosts were great and friendly. The food our host cooked was fantastic. It was a great experience in a stunning location. Would recommend for that glamping experience. I personally recommend the Bacon Sandwich on a morning and definitely try the pizza and tomato sauce. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Crackpot Cottage. Emanuela and Karen were amazing hosts - so helpful and welcoming. The breakfasts were generous and tasty, and we would really recommend the handmade pizza for dinner! It was out first trip post-lockdown, and social distancing was made so easy it felt like a normal holiday. We can't wait to come back!
