A lovely cottage in Brough. The kitchen is very well equipped. Lovely relaxing lounge and large comfy bed too. The place is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The shop around the corner is well stocked and the surrounding countryside is lovely for walking and cycling.

We spent a night in this fantastic quirky little cabin and loved everything about it. So many sweet and interesting touches on the interior. It’s so cosy and welcoming and has such a wonderful feel. The cabin and all facilities were so clean! The weather wasn’t the best for an outdoor fire but we enjoyed a cosy night in by indoor fire complete with Emanuela’s delicious pizzas! Would definitely recommend the food to guests! Hand made and delicious. The cabin is cosy and lots of space. It’s location offers privacy and your own space too. Fantastic views surrounded by the dales and awoke to just wonderful quiet and the soothing sound of chickens. We couldn’t recommend crackpot cabin more and we’ll definitely be back!

This beautiful historical property is nestled away in the hillside of some of the most picturesque countryside. The room is simply perfect with a comfy bed and views out over the rolling green hills. The first night we arrived we ordered Emanuela’s handmade pizza and ate it out on the raised garden which was set up with table and chairs for us. This was a total delight. The food (and glass of wine that came with it) was restaurant quality and the experience / views for our al fresco dining felt akin to being on a Tuscan hillside - not surprising with one of our hosts being Italian! Breakfast was perfect and full of thoughtful touches that really elevated it from other bnb’s (homemade bread, eggs from their chickens and homemade condiments). Emanuela recommenced a local walk and we’re so pleased we took her advice and saved the hill walk we’d planned for another time as it was one of the prettiest walks we’ve done, getting to follow the water, into the woods and across fields, visiting waterfalls on the way and a couple of great local pubs! We’d definitely return again and highly recommend this place. A couple who were staying there at the same time as us chose it as their honeymoon accommodation and we can really see why!

We stayed for one night in crackpot cottage and had a great time sitting by the fire and eating pizza. Was a great stop over on our travels up north. The views are amazing and it’s in such a fantastic area of the country. It rained for parts of our stay but this still didn’t bother us as we were just pleased to be outside in such a great setting. We also love outdoor eco living and Emmanuella and Karen have some great touches and systems in their garden! We also loved being off the grid for the evening! Great touches with the evening pizza and wine and morning breakfast!

The lodge is nestled away in an idillic location. The garden in which is situation is immaculately kept and the views and beautiful from the firepit. The food Emanuela makes is delicious we had a pizza and calzone and thoroughly enjoyed them. The meat platter is tasty too, the prosciutto is to die for. If you love the outdoors and a proper glamping experience (and a cold shower) this place is for you. Emanuela and Karen are wonderful hosts and very attentive, smiling and polite, they make you feel very welcome. They lent us a map for a walk that started a short drive away in Muker, which had stunning views along the valley which I'd highly recommend, which luckily we had the weather for. The stay was something very different for us, but nonetheless a memorable experience.

Lovely break in a stunning area - so pleased to have found this cottage as it served our needs so well - great to come back to after a long dales walk! Ice cream parlour at Brough Castle is highly recommended as are walks from Keld to Muker (and back) & the round walk from the Fat Lamb at Ravenstone dale. (The bridge Street Cottage - Brough)

Emanuela and Karen have the loveliest home in the most wonderful setting. They also have absolutely the best natures to run an Airbnb venue. They really want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and both of them go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. They love their community and are brilliant at involving you in what’s available and where you can go for the best experiences. Emanuela cooks THE most delicious calzone and pizza which we ate every night of our stay. Full English breakfast, cooked by Karen was another treat we weren’t expecting; everything cooked to perfection, including Emanuela’s home made bread on the side. You know you’ve found a gem of a place when you wish you didn’t have to leave. We definitely didn’t want to leave! Missing the warmth of their hospitality already! Congratulations to them for all they do.

Emanuela and Karen were extremely welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. The cabin was so cosy and exactly what we wanted. One thing that stands out especially is the amazing home cooked dinners that we had both nights of our stay and also the included breakfasts that were all delivered right to our door by Emanuela and Karen. Both Emanuela and Karen were perfect hosts, making us feel so comfortable and giving us our own space but also helping us out with locations to walk in the Dales as it was our first time there, and the walk they recommended was amazing! They definitely made the trip a memorable one. Thanks so much again!

First things first Emanuela and Karen are fantastic hosts. They took great care of us, me and Nial went away for my 31st birthday and they couldn’t have been more hospitable. The setting is absolutely stunning if you love country side , and being outside . On our first night we came a little unprepared and they were happy to sell us a bottle of wine for a very reasonable price. They also helped us out with the camp fire as we struggled a little a first. The food was incredible. We ate from their Italian menu both nights , and were not disappointed, absolutely delicious- restaurant standard. They even gave us a free starter for my birthday! There is no need to eat out . Breakfast and pack up are generous portions , their homemade bread is delicious so would highly recommend making use of their talents. The cabin is extremely comfortable and warm and lovingly decorated. The toilet and shower are also of a high standard - this really is glamping! Emanuela was kind enough to recommend us a fantastic local walk , which was truly amazing . We cant recommend Crack Pot Cottage Cabin enough, fabulous living area, amazing hosts and delicious food and amazing views. Has it all !

Thank you Emanuela and Karen for a great stay in your cabin. We have everything we needed and more - it was so good to sleep in the comfy bed and have such quiet surroundings! We really enjoyed having a fire ... e il cibo era magnifico ;) grazie mille!
