Wonderful place! Glamping at its best!

Nice home in a lovely village that is well equipped with most things you need for a short stay. Contactless check in and own entrance. Helpful information provided about check in, access and heating. (The Bridge Street Cottage)

Clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. My sister was delighted to see a couple of dippers in the beck behind the house. If you're historically-minded, there's loads to see in a relatively close circumference. Likewise, there are plenty of walks nearby (and further afield). Good welcome at The Inn (only local pub open at the moment). Would certainly be happy to book again. (The Bridge Street Cottage)

Absolutely amazing! Rustic yet cute experience for the nature-deprived city folk. Karen and Emanuela are faultless as hosts and the food accompanies the stay perfectly. Absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend

What a wonderful time at the Byre at Crackpot Cottage! The room is beautifully decorated, comfortable and warm. The fire and the candles make it cosy and romantic. We had such a good time. Emanuela & Karen are fantastic hosts. Friendly, funny and they go the extra mile for you. And let’s not talk about the food! The pizza was amazing and breakfast with their homemade bread, ketchup and the eggs from their free-range hens was delicious. Thank you Emanuela & Karen. We will definitely be back!

We stayed for our first walking holiday (roll on the staycation) and we could not have picked a better place. The location was picturesque and quintessentially remote with great access to walking routes, and short drives to other key locations in the Dales (we went to Hawes and Leyburn). The breakfast (included), packed lunch, and evening meal options were great. The homemade bread and pizza were so tasty. The hosts recommended Somme great easy routes and were so friendly. They made our holiday so comfortable and special.

Lovely little cottage, very clean and tidy. Added bonus of a large outside space over looking the beck. A great base to explore the beautiful surrounding area. We would book this again and would recommend it to friends and family. (The Bridge Street Cottage)

Loved our stay🥰 Beautiful getaway and yummy pizza. Such friendly hosts too!! Was lovely meeting you both. Thank you so much xx

Crackpot Cottage is a perfect Swaledale location, and Emanuela and Karen are the perfect hosts. The cottage dates from 1722 and has lots of charm and character, we felt very at home and relaxed. There is beautiful scenery and lots of walks close by. Also don't miss the pizza, it is very good.

Totally off grid with no electricity, running water of wi-fi.. Stunning views and location. Both Emanuela and Karen were perfect hosts, warm, welcoming and attentive. The supper menu was lovely, all home made, fantastic pizzas and bruschetta, breakfast was equally as delicious.. eggs from their very own hens with Emanuela as homemmade bread.. and if your very lucky she may let you have some of her stunning home Made ketchup.. the little hut we stayed in was soooo lovey, really comfortable and kitted out with all you need.. glass of wine by the fire pit is a must..see you again, all our love Damian and Emma x
